Delivery Options Overview

At Optimistic 9ja Foods, we are committed to delivering your favourite Nigerian food products safely, quickly, and efficiently across the United Kingdom.

Delivery Areas

We currently deliver to all mainland UK addresses, including England, Scotland, Wales, and selected areas of Northern Ireland. If you're unsure whether we deliver to your location, please contact our customer support team before placing your order.

Order Processing

  • Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
  • Orders placed before our daily cut-off time will typically be processed on the same business day.
  • Orders placed after the cut-off time, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Delivery Time

  • Estimated delivery times are:

    • Standard Delivery: 2–4 working days
    • Express Delivery: 1–2 working days (where available)

    Delivery times are estimates and may vary during peak periods, adverse weather conditions, or due to courier delays.

Frozen & Perishable Products

Frozen and chilled items are carefully packed using insulated packaging to help maintain product quality during transit. We recommend that customers are available to receive these deliveries and transfer them to a refrigerator or freezer immediately upon arrival.

Delivery Charges

Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Delivery location
  • Order weight
  • Selected delivery service

Any applicable delivery charges will be clearly displayed before payment.

Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details (where available), allowing you to monitor your delivery.

Missed Deliveries

If no one is available to receive your order, the courier may:

Leave the parcel in a safe place (if requested)
Deliver to a nearby neighbour
Attempt redelivery
Return the parcel to the depot

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for frozen or perishable products that deteriorate due to missed deliveries.

Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details. Optimistic 9ja Foods is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses.

Damaged or Missing Items

If your order arrives damaged or items are missing, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery. Include your order number and clear photographs of the affected items so we can investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

Delivery Delays

While we work with trusted courier partners, unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, traffic disruptions, or operational issues may occasionally affect delivery times. We appreciate your patience and understanding in such situations.
